Research in the Fehrenbacher lab focuses on modern and past oceanography using (primarily) the geochemistry and ecology of planktic foraminifera.
Lab members study modern ocean-climate change, biomineralization and proxy methods, foraminifera genetics and microbiome associations, and conduct paleoclimate reconstructions.
