Would you like to print 3D forams? We've generated an outreach website that is fully dedicated to 3D foram models. Each scanned foram has also been photographed (to help with foraminifera identification) and the minimally processed data and 3D files are available for download.
As part of my training from the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, I created a hands on demonstration called "Taking the temperature of ancient oceans" that was developed for museum "Meet a Scientist" events and other outreach venues. I worked with OSU SMILE (Science & Math Investigate Learning Foundation) to translate the demo into an activity that meets NGSS for 3-6 grades. Details, downloads, and instructions are available here:
